Follow the traces of the Romans and the electoral princes in Bonn. The sights in Bonn city center lie so close together that you can easily discover them on foot, from the earliest traces of settlement to the haunts of the most famous son of the city, Ludwig van Beethoven, to baroque residential buildings and much more.
The most important stations of this tour are the Beethoven memorial, the Bonn Münster, a Romanesque basilica, the electoral castle (today Bonn University with its 200 year old tradition), the well-known Hofgarten and the historic “Altes Rathaus” (the old town hall). A short visit will of course be paid to Beethoven’s birthplace. A short stroll to the Rhine promenade with its scenic view of the Siebengebirge and the inviting fleet of pleasure vessels completes the tour.
Conference helpers will meet you at 2:15 p.m. before the conference venue and guide you to the meeting point at the corner of Adenauer Allee / Hofgarten. The tour starts at 3 p.m. and will last around two hours.
