Wuppertal - Suspension Monorail Ride

Originally built and operated in 1903, Wuppertal's suspension monorail, called „Schwebebahn“, was one of a kind at that time and is still a unique means of transport. The monorail runs mostly straight across the Wupper river. Today a modern version of the monorail is in place. More than 85.000 people a day use the monorail as a jam-free means of transport for commute. Either in an historical wagon from 1900 used by the German emperor Wilhelm II and his wife or in the latest 2018 version of the monorail, we invite you to a ride with Wuppertal's monorail and to learn about its history in a guided 45 minute tour. After the trip you will have some free time which you might use to stop by at Wuppertal’s brewery.
The brewery visit would be at your own expense.
