Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and join us on a scenic walk through the typical forest of the geographical area ‚Bergisches Land‘ along the Wupper river with its remains from earlier times: former groundwood mills and water wheels used for scissor, knife and file production in the early industrialization. You will walk underneath Germany's highest railway bridge called „Müngstener Brücke“ and cross the Wupper river on a mobile transporter bridge. At the end of the walk you'll reach Castle Burg – a castle from the medieval age. On a guided tour you will be introduced to the castle's history, its architecture and a variety of exhibits like swords and armour.
Please bring adequate, comfortable shoes and a rain jacket – just in case …
