Björn Wendland studied Physics at TU Dortmund University and completed his PhD in 2026 in experimental particle physics. His research focused primarily on investigating the top quark–photon interaction at the ATLAS experiment, and he made significant contributions to the first observation of single top quark production in association with a photon. Since January 2024, he has been employed at ControlExpert GmbH, working as a Senior Data Scientist in the research and development department. His work focuses primarily on the further development of AI modules for the automated assessment of vehicle damage.
