CERN’s education programs and activities in the Science Gateway era

In this talk, we will explore the multifaceted efforts of CERN’s Education, Communications & Outreach group, aimed at increasing public support for fundamental research and engagement of diverse audiences with particle physics. We’ll focus on the transformative role played by Science Gateway, CERN’s new outreach and education centre. The flagship building was recently inaugurated on 7 October. It encompasses interactive exhibitions and activities for family or school groups and hosts exciting events. It aims to inspire a broad audience, from young children to policymakers, and to satisfy the curiosity of hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. In particular, we’ll discuss the new realizations of the Education team, from lab workshops to science shows to digital learning programs.
