
Rationale:
A new generation of Stage-IV large-scale structure surveys such as Euclid, DESI, LSST, SPHEREx, and SKA precursors are providing an unprecedented amount of observational data. These surveys map large portions of the sky, observing hundreds of millions of bright galaxies up to high redshifts. These data have the potential to transform our understanding of the cosmos.
New analysis strategies are required to analyze the data efficiently and fully exploit its cosmological and astrophysical information. Crucially, these seek to minimize the statistical uncertainty while providing a robust treatment of theoretical and observational systematics. The large number of ongoing efforts range from new summary statistics to efficient data compression to full forward models for field level analysis and use an expanded range of statistical techniques.
With new DESI and Euclid Data Release 1 results expected this year, this fourth workshop in a very successful series (previous editions 2023, 2024, 2025) will focus particularly on data applications and methods that are close to data-ready. It will join scientific expertise from all aspects of analysis and validation pipelines, such as theoretical modeling, novel statistical methods, observational effects, and mock generation. The goal is to share expertise between science teams and surveys, to identify common obstacles and solutions, and to establish verification standards such analyses should pass.
