Description

The location of branch point singularities of loop amplitudes in planar N=4 Super Yang Mills (SYM) are encoded by symbol letters. The "alphabet" from which these letters are drawn seems to exhibit patterns related to cluster algebras. It has been conjectured that the symbol alphabet consists only of cluster variables and certain functions of them. In this talk, I will use the plabic graph representation of integrands in planar N=4 SYM to make a direct connection with the symbol letters.
