This is the first edition of the RADHARD School, which is supported by the DAAD through funding within the project "Radiation-hard integrated circuits educational platform (RADHARD)" between the University of Bonn and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The school offers lectures around the following topics:

  • Microelectronics for semiconductor particle sensors
  • Radiation damage effects and mitigation
  • Device characterization

as well as practical exercises (topic: analog frontend for detector readout).

The school is open to all interested students, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are familiar with the basics of semiconductor detectors and readout electronics (e.g. from lectures on particle detectors and electronics).

Participation is possible in person at the FTD or online via Zoom.
