Quantum modular forms were introduced by Zagier in 2010 to characterize the failure of modularity of certain q-series. Since then, different examples of quantum modular forms have also been studied in complex Chern-Simons theory and, more recently, in topological string theory on local Calabi-Yau 3folds. This talk aims to discuss the approach of resurgence to the study of a class of quantum modular forms. More precisely, after reviewing some basic aspects of resurgence theory, I will present modular resurgence structures and illustrate their main properties. This is based on arXiv:2404.11550.
