Puzzles in strong interaction physics – really?

Description

In this talk, I review three decades of strong interaction research at Bonn and Jülich. I concentrate on so-called puzzles, that have attracted much interest in the nuclear and particle physics communities. These puzzles concern the electromagnetic radius of the proton, the monopole transition form factor of 4He and the appearance of hyperons in neutron stars and their related effects on neutron star properties. Using different non-perturbative methods, solutions to all these enigmas are worked out and future research in these directions is briefly discussed.
