Minutes of Meeting – IHL Coordination

1. Composition of the IHL Search Committee

The composition of the search committee for the IHL Fellow positions has been finalised.

The committee will include:

  • Jens Weingarten, Dortmund

  • Jochen Dingfelder, Bonn

  • Hans Krüger, Bonn

  • André Zambanini, FZJ

  • TA1 Conveners

  • IHL Leaders

2. Interview Procedure and Interview Location

The preferred format for the interviews is in-person. Jochen has been informed of this preference and agrees with the general approach.

The exact interview location will be discussed in the Coordination Board. QD has already sent Jochen a reminder and may send another reminder shortly before the upcoming Coordination Board meeting.

3. Additional IHL Fellow Advertisements

MK will work on the advertisement for the analogue position. The position will focus on transistor simulation.

Once the draft advertisement is completed, it will be sent to Ingrid for feedback.

5. CmF Inauguration Day (July 1st) – TA1/IHL Stand

Possible contributions to the TA1/IHL stand at the CmF Inauguration Day were discussed.

One idea is to present a KI chip capable of processing a video stream and performing object identification. Another could be a little PC game to compare visitor's pulse recognition with that of the AI machine.

6. IHL Kickoff Meeting

Initial points concerning the IHL Kickoff Meeting were discussed, including possible topics and invitees.

Potential topics and contributors include:

  • PI of FABulous, eFPGA framework, radiation-hard eFPGA developments

  • Cologne chip

  • GSI contributions

Further planning is needed to clarify:

  • what should be planned for the Kickoff Meeting,

  • whom to invite,

  • where should it take place

QD will create a list file on Sciebo and share it for collecting topics and possible invitees.

7. Coordination Structure and Meeting Frequency

The next IHL coordination meeting will take place on 10 June 2026 at 14:00.

The main topic of the next meeting will be the invitation and topic list for the IHL Kickoff Meeting.
