Description

To achieve sub-percent precision in lattice determinations of hadronic observables isospin-breaking effects need to be included in the computation. These effects come from the electromagnetic interaction and the explicit up and down quark mass difference. In this talk, I will review how to include these effects from first principles using the RM123 method, non-perturbative, in the strong coupling constant and at first order in the electromagnetic coupling constant and in the up and down quark mass difference. Then I will present a study of the scaling of the error of some of these contributions in the infinite volume and continuum limit. Our data show the expected scaling with the volume but do not show the expected scaling with the lattice spacing.
