Description
I will discuss the role played in mirror symmetry by torsion groups in the integral cohomology of a Calabi-Yau 3-fold. Building on work from the mid 90s, I will clarify the relation of these groups to global symmetries of the associated worldsheet superconformal field theory and flat abelian gerbes and discuss the mirror structures. The talk will be based on preprint 2407.07635.
