[SPECIAL SEMINAR] Application of Artificial Neural Networks in Particle Physics Experiments (an example)
by
Abstract:
In the first part of the talk we give a very brief overview of
the experiment of the JEDI collaboration at FZJ Jülich, which is aimed at the search
of the EDM. The second part of the talk contains a description of the Artificial
Neural Network (ANN). As an illustration, we consider the reconstruction of the proton
kinetic energy in the silicon strip telescopes (ANKE STT). In the
last part of the talk, we present the results of the application of ANN to the analysis of data.
The talk will be delivered in the framework of Erasmus+ program. It is intended
mainly for the master and PhD students.
